Sort of

What can I say about my word: Xog. It wasn’t like a sudden flash of my soul that brought it forth. Certainly, it wasn’t my years in college. It just happened. Kind of like an unwelcome expulsion in the middle of a speech. “I didn’t mean to say that!” It isn’t like it is a great invention of a word either. Had I wanted that I would have used an old phony word from my lexicon such as, “glorp.” For the life of me, I cannot seem to stop from forming words to use rather than cuss words. The old, tried and true, “F” word for instance. Where did that word come from?

Of all the inanities I have dreamed up since combat Xog is a word that somehow captured me instead of mouthed once and thrown away. I look at it this way: I am not the inventor of the word as I see it used in a search for it on the net I did copyright it though, for my own use and am building from it to the point that I have three websites which start with Xog. It worked but I don’t know why, as I stated in the first and as yet only post here. If I recall correctly, I was thinking of a name starting with fog with a suffix to be imagined. As I ran through the alphabet I came to Zog and then remembered that X had a Z sound in some languages. So, I ran with it, gave it a try as a domain name and then dreamed up a few other names with Xog in them.

I will list them here on the front page as I go.

Who in the Xog Am I?

I am a college educated veteran of Vietnam. I served there in the war twice. My specialty was electronic counter measures and combat security which included the safe with all the classified documents inside it. Only three of us had the combination to that safe including the commanding officer. It was all so hush-hush that after I got home I had dreams of both combat and that danged safe. That was, of course, a long time ago and I got old from then to now. However, the job I also had was taking care of the technical aspects of the equipment we used so I am a bit of a techy or geeky, if you like.

I own the server this comes to you from and do all of the coding myself. It isn’t all that complex if you take things one step at a time. I find I love both writing and fighting the equipment that brings this to you. I win those fights, usually. If I don’t win then I rely on the techs I know to help me figure it out. A guy can’t know everything and still mow the lawns!

As of this writing I am in my seventy-seventh year, still own my own brand of ironic humor and am in good spirits. I do hate progressives but hold no enmity toward them. I look at them more as lost dogs in heat. Not a pretty picture but to have that mind set they possess is a sickness. That is what this is partly about: XOG Run. See you soon.
